Dragoncraft Ramp Deck Guide

Dragoncraft Ramp is easily one of the most powerful decks in Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond. Find out how to play it here.

Dragoncraft Ramp is a Dragoncraft deck that looks to play as a hybrid Ramp and Control deck, with the aim of drawing the game out by removing enemy followers while also increasing your maximum play points. With this, you can get to potent endgame threats much more quickly than your opponents, being able to play out big endgame threats.

Once you've been able to ramp up and gotten far enough in the game, the second half of this deck's plan can be enacted. Which means, as the name indicates, huge dragons that can pummel in and send your opponents to defeat in the blink of an eye.

Being a hybrid Ramp and Control deck, Dragoncraft Ramp is very flexible and able to go toe-to-toe with the top decks in the game, due to its ramp plan having enough power to win games by itself. Its controlling aspects are able to keep decks with lots of small followers at bay, but a deck that has an efficient amount of aggressiom can really cause this deck to fall short.

Dragoncraft Ramp is a deck that wants to operate on two axes. On one hand, you have a control deck that's able to keep a boardstate down with cards like Strike of the Dragonewt and Phildau, Lionheart Ward. But, on the other hand, you've got a strategy of ramping up using cards like Dragonsign to be able to get to your endgame threats, which you can do passively while controlling the boardstate.

With this, you can strike a balance between progressing your own gameplan while also controlling against faster decks, which is great to fighting the more aggressive decks in the format. On top of this, your endgame is massive, with dragons like Twilight Dragon taking over the game as soon as they hit the board.

Importantly, Genesis Dragon Reborn is a 9 attack Storm card that can end games out of nowhere. Playing around this is going to be difficult for your opponent, and so make sure to leverage it as much as you can; this is your strongest game-ender,

Metagame Analysis

In the current metagame, Dragoncraft Ramp started off as one of the top contenders but fell down to the second tier, below the big three. Part of this sentiment was because, unfortunately, Dragoncraft plays poorly into Portalcraft Hybrid, as it can kill through units before you're able to enact your plan. On top of this, it also plays badly into the best Portalcraft counter, in Swordcraft, due to similar reasons.

Otherwise, though, Dragon Ramp is pretty much able to run over any other given deck with a good enough draw. If you're able to resolve one of your big endgame threats, you've won the game, and so you put your opponents to the test of being able to kill you (through your control cards) fast enough.

But, it's becoming more obvious that outside of the Portalcraft matchup. Dragoncraft is becoming one of the most important and prevalent decks in the metagame. Anyone who's paying attention is able to see how this deck can just run over, and if you're able to dodge that one matchup, it can definitely be one of the most potent ways to play Worlds Beyond currently.
