The Abysscraft Midrange deck aims to control the board while gradually buffing your followers with 10154110 to finish off your opponent.
This deck has strong tempo potential, using token generation and Necromancy mechanics to pressure slower decks like Portalcraft and Runecraft. In those matchups, you can play aggressively to overwhelm them early on.
What has changed since the first week is that players have started using more defensive cards like 10152130, and are favoring 10151150 over 10052310 for tempo purposes. The latter is seen as too expensive for drawing just two cards.
How to Play the Abysscraft Midrange Deck
To pilot this deck effectively, you need to curve out smoothly, playing on-curve each turn to gain field advantage and chip away at the opponent’s leader. Cards like 10154130 and 10154120 are excellent here — they not only help clear enemy followers but can become serious threats themselves.
Once you’ve built up enough play points and followers on board, drop 10154110 and watch your army grow stronger!
While Abysscraft may not be the top-tier class right now, this deck has real potential in the right hands. Notably, it performs well against two highly played classes: Portalcraft and Runecraft—making it a strong meta choice if you frequently face those decks.
Abysscraft Midrange Deck Tips and Strategies
Important Cards to See Early
Your ideal opening hand includes 10153120 and 10151130. These are your best 2- and 3-cost cards to begin applying pressure and quickly fueling Necromancy.
10151150 is also a solid keep — it’s your best draw card, and its evolve effect can buy you precious time.
Combo Tip You Must Know
This tip is essential against decks that clear your board repeatedly, though it can come in handy elsewhere too:
Before playing 10154110, try to have already played two copies of 10152210. When the time is right, activate those amulets, then play 10154110. If your opponent has a follower for you to destroy with the Super Evolution, you can deal up to 13 damage in a single turn!
And if you need to trade into a Ward with one or two 90051130, do so before evolving 10154110 — this way, it can revive them right away for even more value.
Budget and Possible Inclusions
To be honest, this deck heavily relies on its Abysscraft Legendary cards, especially 10154110, which is central to your win condition.
That said, you can still adjust the ratios of your core cards depending on your collection. Apart from the cards commonly played in full playsets, many of the other card choices are still flexible at this stage, with builds continuing to evolve.
Here are some strong Neutral options to consider:
- 10001120 is a solid choice if you need more early draw or protection against Storm followers.
- 10103110 and 10103310 are popular tech picks if you're looking to improve your matchups against Swordcraft and Dragoncraft.
Closing Words
If you enjoy spooky decks that synergize with the grave, spawn undead tokens, and buff them into monstrous attackers, this deck is for you.
It may not be the strongest deck in the format, but it’s definitely one to watch out for—it can deal explosive burst damage if left unchecked. If your opponent gives you too much room, the game can end very quickly.
Its ability to perform well against two of the most popular classes (Portalcraft and Runecraft) is worth considering. However, it struggles against Forestcraft and Swordcraft, which are tougher matchups to navigate.
