Dragoncraft Aggro

Dragoncraft Aggro Deck Guide

Welcome to the Dragoncraft Aggro deck guide, here you are going to learn all the secrets to upgrade your experience with Galan!

How Dragoncraft Works: Ramp & Overflow Explained

Firstly, what are the mechanics behind the Dragoncraft class strategy?

Dragoncraft is a class built around two perfectly synergistic mechanics: Ramping and Overflow. Ramping means gaining additional maximum play points ahead of your opponent. Once you reach 7 play points, Overflow activates, enhancing many of your cards’ effects.

To ramp, use 10042310 or the evolve of 10143120.

10141150 is a great example of benefit from the Overflow, helping you recover against aggressive opponents.

Dragoncraft Ramp

For Dragoncraft, you currently have 2 strategies available with opposite goals! One plays with the late game, the second finishes the game before that. This is a gamble your opponent must take when deciding their starting hand.

First, the classical Ramp Dragoncraft:

The aim for this deck is simple: gain play points in the early, manage to survive, then play big cards!

If your opponent is too aggressive, you have alternate plans. You can use by example 10102110, a tech card we use because of Aggro decks. A must keep against Swordcraft and Forestcraft players! It deals 1 damage to the opponent's followers, evolve him to deal one more damage!

If you reach the late game, well played! You have now strong board wipes. Take a look at 10144110 and 10143140, the last one even bypassing Barrier. Very useful to counter 10124120's Super-Evolution.

Running low on health? You got 10142310, 10141150 and 10104110 to help you get out of range of possible lethal blows. Be aware of Storm followers. 10124110 and 10174120 are good examples of cards to be aware.

Otherwise, take the board with 10144130 and its Super-Evolution! He can become a threat for decks that lacks strong board wipes. Forestcraft, in particular, will struggle.

You can also just go directly face with 10041130 and 10143110.

While most players are teching against Ramp Dragon, a new challenger has emerged - one that takes advantage of their unpreparedness. It even made a splash lately and did fourth place in the game's first tournament ($1000 Prize Pool Gengur’s Gauntlet). It is Aggro Dragoncraft! Here is the list:

First step, you play followers. Second step, you attack directly with them. GG, well played, you know how to play this deck now!

Unlike the other deck, you have a strong early game. Put 10141140 on the board versus a Swordcraft or Forestcraft player. Watch them struggle with Intimidation if they didn't keep their answer, thinking you are a Ramp Dragon. Make them bigger with 10142140, and watch your opponent's leader defense melt.

We added 10103110 as a tech card. It is here to deal with Wards, so we can go face. It has a low cost, but needs an Evolution point to kill a follower.

When the opponent is low on health, finish them. 10144120 and 10041130 are here to do the job.

Aggro Dragon has proven to be a good response in this meta, being the only Dragon deck in the top 8 of this tournament. But now that it is growing in popularity, will Ramp Dragon be a better choice? Since the hate could possibly be reversed to Aggro Dragon, people will tend to keep tempo cards now. Which are none that useful facing Ramp Dragon.

With only 3 legendaries and 6 golden cards, Aggro Dragon is the best option for a budget Dragoncraft deck in my opinion.

Speaking of that, there is my budget Dragoncraft deck:

We can almost play the Aggro Dragoncraft for cheap. Only exception, 10144120, that isn't in the free Dragoncraft deck. If you pulled 10143110 early, it can be a good substitute to mitigate the damage loss. On 10 play points, with your Super-Evolution, it deals 12 damages!

Crafting Recommendations

Now that a second Dragoncraft deck merged with a different play style, let's take a look at your crafting priorities for each!

What to aim for a Ramp deck:

  • 10143120 is the second and only card that helps us gain extra play points, that is mandatory in such a deck.
  • Your first copy of 10144130 is given in the free deck. You want to maximize it, because it's simply our best Super-Evolution. Just check it, you will see my point really fast.

  • 10143140 is a huge board wipe. Its Super-Evolution let us draw 3 cards, which can be helpful to find the needed cards.
  • 10143110 is simply a 9/10 Storm, send it face and see what happens.

What to aim for in the Aggro deck:

  • 10144120 is the card you really want 3 copies of. It makes our deck aggressive. Even if a class like Runecraft can deal with it easily, their defense points will still go down.
  • Then, go for 10103110, a great tech Neutral card you can put in a lot of decks. It is here to help us kill a threat on our road to the face of our opponent.

  • From there, craft 10143130. A ward and a token are always helpful. To keep the pressure and protect our board from decks like Forestcraft, with a lot of Rush followers.
  • And finally, you can craft 10143120. It has proven its value in both Ramp and Aggro, it is a sure craft.

From there, you have the keys to play and have a lot of fun with the dragons. I hope you enjoyed this guide and that it is helpful! Here are all the Dragoncraft cards available for now. Whether you prefer overwhelming force or relentless pressure, Dragoncraft has your back. Now go conquer the ladder, and remember: dragons never play fair!
