Portalcraft Artifact Deck Guide

Artifact Portalcraft is one of the two main strategies of the class. It revolves around creating Gears, upgrading them by fusing in your hand, and building the right weapon at the right moment.

When your opponent drops to 10 defense, and you have 10 play points, it’s time to fuse 90073110, 90073120, and 90073130 into 90074110 to finish the game!

In the first set, the deck was already viable but relied heavily on Puppet cards to compensate for its weaknesses. It had a strong midgame but lacked tools for the early turns and struggled to close out games.

With Infinity Evolved, Artifact Portalcraft received major upgrades for its early game with 10272310 and 10273110. These cards allow you to buff your Artifacts in hand with powerful effects like Ward, card draw, and destruction immunity.

We already had ways to summon Artifact copies from hand, but the addition of 10271210 and 10274120 makes it easier and more consistent than ever — perfect for keeping up pressure while keeping your key Artifacts safe.

This is a highly adaptive deck that rewards practice, good planning, and deep matchup knowledge. The meta is still evolving, and decklists are far from fixed, but here’s my take on Artifact Portalcraft:

How to Play Artifact Portalcraft

Think of yourself as an engineer, building and fusing Gears to create powerful Artifacts.

The Gear System explained : your early cards focus on creating two types of Gears: 90071220 (blue) and 90071210 (red).

  • Fuse two Gears:
    • Blue first → 90072120.
    • Red first → 90072110.
  • To craft 5-cost Artifacts:
    • Any 3-cost Artifact + any Gear → 90073110.
    • Any 3-cost + 2 Gears → 90073120.
    • Any 3-cost + another 3-cost → 90073130.

Important: You need one of each 5-cost Artifact to fuse into 90074110, your ultimate win condition.

Use cheap followers like 10273110 and 10171130 to generate Artifacts while carefully fusing only when necessary. This allows you to deploy your big Artifacts at the right time.

Cards like 10173140 and 10274120 are essential for replaying powerful Artifacts, ensuring constant pressure.

To finish the game, consider your total damage potential:

  • 10174120 = 8 damage (if it kills a follower).
  • 10174130 = up to 9 damage if you craft three 90073120.
  • 90074110 = 10 Storm damage with an AoE 5-damage board clear!

Artifact Portalcraft Tips and Strategies

Best Cards to Mulligan

Always mulligan for early-game followers:

  • 10273110, 10171130, 10173110—these generate Gears and chip in early damage.
  • 10173140 is also a must-keep, as it’s your best midgame card and key to maintaining pressure.

Against aggressive decks (Abysscraft, Dragoncraft, Swordcraft), keep 10172310 or 10172110 to stabilize.

Adapt Your Gameplan

You won’t always win by summoning 90074110.
Sometimes, repeatedly crafting 90073120 and finishing with 10174120 is enough.
Against Aggro, you might win by simply outlasting them, healing back, and draining their resources.

Don’t tunnel vision on one specific plan — every class has different archetypes, and flexibility is key.

Budget and Possible Inclusions

  • 10173210 is popular in some lists to counter Aggro, but with 10204110 being so common, I don’t recommend investing in it.
  • If you struggle with Aggro, consider adding 10172120 and 10071110 for tempo plays.
  • Need more healing? 10174110 is a solid choice.
  • You can also increase copies of 10172110 and 10173120 for consistency.
