Havencraft is a heavily control-oriented class. If you enjoy playing Ward followers, healing, and wiping the board clean, this is the class for you.
A key Havencraft mechanic revolves around Countdown Amulets, which summon followers or trigger powerful effects (such as card draw) once they expire. The trade-off is that Havencraft often has a slow early game, but if you manage to survive until the midgame, the payoff is substantial.
In previous sets, Ward Havencraft had a strong impact on the meta. However, once players learned how to counter it, and with its best matchup, Roach Forestcraft, becoming less common, it gradually declined in popularity.
With Blossoming Fate, a new deck emerged: Havencraft Kukishiro. The deck has performed very well during the first month of the expansion and is built around 10564120, a new Legendary card with a powerful Crest. Its only real downside is the deck-building restriction: you must play exclusively odd-cost cards in order to summon free 10061120 or 90061110 onto your side of the board. As a result, the only even-cost card included in the deck is 10164120 itself, for obvious reasons.
While Crest and Ward variants are struggling somewhat in this early, wide meta, Kukishiro is clearly the standout Havencraft archetype at the moment.
Havencraft Ward
This version of Havencraft is fully centered around the Ward synergy. Almost all of your followers have Ward and become significantly stronger once you have played 10264120.
It is a solid midrange deck, but it can struggle if you fail to find 10264120 early enough. If you see it in your opening hand, it is usually correct to keep it.
Blossoming Fate introduced two strong additions to the deck: 10564110 and 10562110. Among them, 10564110 stands out the most, as it provides additional free Evolves. This makes it much easier to include 10404110 as a powerful tech option.
Havencraft Crest
The goal of this deck is to set up as many Crests as quickly as possible, then convert them into damage using 10364120. Once your engine is online, all you need to do is clear your opponent’s board every turn so that 10364120’s Crest can deal direct damage to the opposing leader.
Blossoming Fate did not bring many new tools to this archetype, with the notable exception of 10503310. This card is an excellent answer to problematic threats like 10444110, while also providing card draw. Don’t overlook its Enhance effect against decks that flood the board in a single turn, such as Swordcraft Midrange.
Havencraft Kukishiro
This deck revolves entirely around a single Legendary: 10564120. As always, you want to find it as early as possible, it is a perfectly reasonable keep in your opening hand.
Once you have it, careful planning becomes essential. You need to time your draw amulets so that they resolve after 10564120 is played, allowing you to summon your precious allies, 10061120 or 90061110.
Since 10564120 costs seven play points, including 10164120 is not an issue. In fact, it helps clean up the followers that you may give to your opponent.
Posting excellent results during the first month of Blossoming Fate, Kukishiro is currently the best Havencraft deck to craft.
No Legendary Havencraft Deck
Since Crest, Kukishiro, and Ward decks all rely heavily on their respective Legendaries, the best no-Legendary option is Havencraft Amulets. This archetype focuses on amulets that summon powerful Storm and Rush followers, alongside cards that benefit from having amulets in play, such as 10161140 or 10263110.
If you enjoyed playing Priest in Hearthstone, Havencraft will feel very familiar. These decks reward patience, good timing, and tight control over the rhythm of the game.
